Launching Blockchain GraphQL APIs Shouldn’t be Hard & Costly: Switch to Traceye

Launch Blockchain GraphQL API

Are you launching a Layer2/Layer3 rollup or appchain? Or, you already manage one of these? If yes, then fast, scalable, and cost-efficient APIs are critical for your project. But the reality is that a lot of chains still use the traditional, costly, and resource-intensive methods of launching APIs. Their complexity even increases when multiple APIs are required, and they have to ensure high-stakes performance & availability for each of them.

Traceye, as an ultimate data indexing solution, has observed the above challenge closely and makes it easier than ever to launch blockchain GraphQL APIs without technical hassle or high costs. The feature is essentially a no-code API launchpad that allows L2/L3 rollups and appchains to build multiple APIs on top of their archive RPC node. Let’s dive deeper and understand the end-to-end process of launching blockchain APIs with Traceye’s GraphQL API. Before that, let’s learn who the ideal users are for this solution.

Who should launch blockchain GraphQL APIs on Traceye?

As of now, Traceye supports quick blockchain APIs launch for Ethereum-based chains, for example, CDK L2/L3s, Orbit chains, ZKsync chains, Avalanche L1s, Optimism L2/L3, and all the Ethereum-compatible sovereign chains.

These chains can be both public and permissioned chains, based on the project-specific needs that require fast & powerful APIs to allow seamless data retrieval for their community and thereby fast-track project (dApps) development. But, this API requirement is usually expensive and complex for them. Now with Traceye, the cost is significantly down, and the entire process becomes simple & hassle-free. Plus, all the benefits that we discussed in the above point (permissioned chains) will remain the same for public chains as well.

Additionally, Traceye’s GraphQL APIs will be monitored through Traceye’s 24/7, dedicated infrastructure monitoring system to ensure zero performance issues and availability. This monitoring system comes as default with Traceye’s GraphQL APIs, hence no hidden or additional cost is required.

How to Launch Blockchain GraphQL APIs with Traceye? Step-by-Step

Launching GraphQL APIs is straightforward and quick. Users with almost zero coding expertise and technical knowledge can launch & manage their blockchain APIs. Let’s understand step-by-step.

  1. Log in to Traceye, or create your account if you are a first-time user. Provide a valid email ID and password. The sign is supported by Google, GitHub, and Apple.

  1. From the main dashboard, navigate to the side bar menu on the left and click GraphQL API.

3. A new dashboard will open. This will allow you to add your chain and thereby move to launching APIs. But, before that, you need to buy a subscription. Click ‘Buy Subscription’ to continue.

4. You’ll be redirected to the subscription page with three options: Standard plan, Free plan, and Service Addons.

Launch Blockchain GraphQL API

The standard plan offers 50M API units per month, 2.5M storage entities, a rate limit of 75 GraphQL queries per second, along with a hands-on 24/7 monitoring & support setup.

For the free plan, services are limited, but it’s a good option for newly-launched L2 rollups and appchains or even the established chains that want to explore Traceye’s API services before subscribing to the standard plan.

As required, chains can opt for add-on services, Additional Queries, or Additional Storage Entities.

Continue ‘Buy Now’ to finish.

5. Once the subscription is completed, you can begin launching GraphQL APIs. Return to the dashboard (as given in the 3rd step) and click ‘Add Chain’. Add necessary details: Chain Name, Network Family, Archive RPC Endpoint, Network ID, and type of APIs you want to launch; Blockchain & Transactions, ERC-721 & ERC-1155 NFT, ERC-20 Token. You have the flexibility to launch one API, two of them, or all of them, as required. Here, we are launching all three APIs, hence all are selected.

6. Click ‘Add Chain’ to finish. Upon this, you’ll be redirected to the dashboard where details about your chain and deployed APIs will be reflected. In our case, Binance Chain has been deployed and is ready to launch APIs on top of this chain.

7. Again, click on the deployed chain. A new page will open showing Details and Settings options. From details, you will get the API’s name, Query URL, Status- deployed or pending, Sync Status, Total Storage Entities, Total Requests, API units consumed, and your chain’s Archive RPC URL. Note that all this information will be provided as part of Traceye’s dedicated monitoring setup.

Also, there’s a settings tab that allows you to set notifications for indexer status, synched completion, and query-ready status. Once done, click save.

8. Similar to the chain, you can track details and entity information for each deployed API.  Again, this information will be provided as part of Traceye’s 24/7 monitoring setup. Like, we’re viewing the details and entities for the ERC-20 Token API.

  • API-level details:

Click ‘Open’ to open the GraphQL playground where you can see all the available entities, write GraphQL queries, and retrieve data.

Any issues in the performance (whether in the chain or in the APIs) will be detected instantly and solved on the go, avoiding any chances of performance or security issues.

Delete or Deactivate:

For any reason, if you want to delete the chain or deactivate APIs, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the dashboard and open the details page. Now, click the ‘Delete’ option and confirm to delete the chain permanently.

  1. For deactivation of APIs, click the API URL (given beside the API name) and visit the API details page. Now, click ‘Deactivate’ and confirm deactivation.

Ready to launch your GraphQL APIs? Get Started for free!

While Traceye guarantees a quick and easy launch for blockchain GraphQL APIs, it encourages projects to explore its GraphQL API services before they commit to a subscription. To enable this, Traceye is offering a free plan that allows L2/L3 rollups and appchains to launch and manage APIs on its highly optimized indexing infrastructure. This gives teams the flexibility to validate APIs, optimize performance, and experience Traceye’s developer-first platform—all without any upfront investment. However, depending on the use-case requirement, you can get started with the Standard plan or opt for additional queries.

So, if you’re building on a permissioned chain or scaling a production-grade network, all you need is Traceye’s GraphQL APIs to launch APIs with confidence and clarity. Try yourself!
